Frequently Asked Questions
How would you describe your style
My wedding videography style is focused on being minamilist and discrete and candidly captruing the details and emotions of the day as it naturaslly unfolds to craft an immersive and cinematic story about you as a couple, with your wedding day the perfect backdrop for it.
Where are you based?
I am based in Belfast but happy to travel anywhere throughout Northern Ireland and beyond to capture your story. One of the joys of doing this is getting to experience so many beautiful venues and locations.
How do we book and is there a deposit?
Yes, a deposit of £200 via bank transfer is required to secure the date with the remaining balance due 4 weeks prior to your wedding day.
Do we need to meet up?
Not necessarily, but before you book I do recommend having a phone or video call just to get to know each other as people. Personality is so important and you want to ensure I’m the right person you want to spend 10-12 hours on your wedding. This is not essential for booking, just my recommendation, but I do like to arrange a video call a couple of weeks before the wedding to get all the magical details.
What time will you arrive to start filming and how long do you stay?
I will typically arrive at the bridal preperation location 3 hours priort to the ceremony start time. As for when I go home, of course I need to consider my safe travel home, but gnerally I won’t leave until I feel I have captured enough footage to create the best film I can. If your doing a sparkler shot or fireworks, im there in a heartbeat!
Do we need to provide you with a meal?
A full day’s filming can be over 12 hours, so it can be a long day so fuelling the tummy to keep me energized would be much appreciated, however I don’t have the same meal as your guests. A bar meal will suffice and venues are used to catering for videographers and photographers on that basis so discuss that with your venue and they will keep you right
Can we pick the music for our film?
Unfortunately not. Due to copyright law, I am not able to allow couples to pick their own music. One of the reasons why you are invesing in me as a filmmaker is to pick music which will form an integral part of your story capturing both your personalities and the energy and atmosphere of the day.
When will we receive our films?
I aim to have your finished films with you approx 12 weeks after the wedding, however depending on my filming schedule, especially in peak season it may take a little longer but I will always keep you updated. Video editing whilst a hugely immersive and enjoyable activity, is also very time consuming and I like to spend quality time ensuring I tell your story properly.
How will we receive our films?
I will send you a link to a personalised online gallery where not only can you download your films to keep forever, but you have 10 years access to stream direct, cast to TV and most importantly share with family and friends. Gone are the days where you need to pass the DVD around the houses.
